The only downside we experienced was the lack of a covered porch to store our wet and smelly boots. We visited during very wet weather, and it would have been great to have a dry area to keep our boots and easily access the door.

We also had the added bonus of being treated to a visit from a Stag and his family just outside the hotel. a lovely place for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.
